Where to begin...

The cheapest mother-fathers I've ever worked for but it beats working at a healthcare consulting firm full of liars and back stabbers. Hi Dawn. Hi Stacy.

This current "big-time" corporate company that I work has too many chiefs and not enough indians. This comapny clocks everything. The time you walk in, the times you take your breaks, and especially everything else. The responsible ones have to pay for the prior idiots but there are still plenty idiots.

Ever had the feeling that a really bad episode from your past working life was going to repeat itself? Well, I just got that nasty feeling during the past week.

One day, top management decided that it would be a ‘step in the right direction’ to get an assistant for our overworked CFO. It turned out the decision was not so smart since the CFO was not willing to delegate anything to anyone, least of all a new recruit. When the new guy was finally brought in, he was given pretty much the same tasks that we did with the added onus of coordinating and supervising our work - big job since that meant trying to control and supervise four unruly, laid back junior accountants.

Whenever you see job postings you can bet that they are as fictitious and devious as any type of advertising. What makes them even worse is the fact that the firms that put them on pride themselves with being ethical and professional. Case in point is the adverts that used to interest me most – those for positions in accounting departments at auditors or financial service firms. The promises are many; career prospects, work-life balance, options to work overseas, gain experience, support advancement, unleashing your potential.

If you work for a firm that puts business attire high on its agenda, then you are not alone. Most audit/accountant firms like the one I work for are sticklers for appearance. The big plus point of being in such a firm is that you can earn merits with the least effort. Take a look at your boss or immediate senior and if they wear shirts with French cuffs and cufflinks, do the same. Invest in a collection of assorted neckties and rotate daily – a boldly striped tie can avert attention from your ageing pinstripe and is cheaper than a suit.

Is it within forum protocol to gripe about a job interview rather than a job? I think this one deserves one or two (2) blogs.

Ok. My situation is tricky because I work for my husband's parents. They own three moderate sized companies. They also allegedly plan on retiring in about 2 years and turning over their businesses to my husband and his brother. I do the payrolls, bill paying/receiving/creating, insurance, all government related tasks like W-2's and quarterly reports, all human resource related tasks...ok basically I do everything for them. I didn't used to be in this position.

Sweet Revenge for "I Have A Serious Problem"

TODAY HAS BEEN THE BEST DAY OF MY WORK CAREER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you read the post that I submitted yesterday titled "I Have A Serious Problem" you will appreciate what happened today.

My boss the 11 year old kid and his girlfriend went out for an all night drinking binge yesterday. He was still drunk when he came in today. At about 10 o'clock this morning he was prancing around the office bragging about how drunk he was yesterday and unfortunately he had the "Beer Gas" to prove it.

He called all of his accountants in for a meeting this morning and when I got in there I can tell that he was uncomfortable. In the middle of the meeting he straight up pooped in his pants. It was actually running down his legs onto the office carpet. I lost it and busted up laughing which totally pissed him off. The a@#hole still the the presence of mind to belch in my face as he ran towards the men's room. I snapped a quick picture of him running down the hall with my cell phone.

My boss is absolutely disgusting. I sit in a goddamned 4x6 cubicle about 3 feet from his office. I have to listen to him fart and belch all day long. The man is an absolute pig. He will come out of his office and belch in my face. Then he will proceed to blow in my face and start laughing about it like he's 11 years old. Just last week he came up to me, bent his ass towards my face, and farted. What can I do? I'm on the verge of punching his lights out.

Thank You.
