To start off I'd like to point out that I am currently a senior enrolled at a state university. The reason I go to school is so I don't have to get into the family business : cell phone stores. I currently am working for my father running one of his stores in Detroit. My father came to the country 25 years ago and still does not know that great of English or how to run a business in a professional manner at all. I give him credit for lasting this long in sales businesses and doing as well as he has but the way he runs these businesses are extremely unorganized.

Just when I was getting comfortable in my gray-collar internship in Pontiac last week, guess what happens?

So this dumb bitch comes in our store with a couple kids..walks around talking on her cell phone VERY loud..I heard all about her kids lives, her dreams..problems, you name it..all while she is doing this, her little baby is sitting on the floor clear across the aisle..she was the most annoying stupid bitch I have ever seen (Her, not the baby) !!! You are not important..anyone with 10 bucks can buy a cell phone now at the dollar store...!!!

My company is full of greedy little fuckers! Maybe it's just our call center manager, I don't know. She actually made eye contact with me for the 1st time in 3 fucking years! I thought I was fired for sure, but then she smiled and I almost passed out from lack of oxygen!

Well it all started on March 17th 2006. Sams Club is one of them jobs if your liked and do your job you will be there as long as you will stay there. But will hire anyone who can fog a mirror. But to the people they like, they will still treat like shit. Unless your a liked black person. Or just black period. Im in no means a racist. I work side by side with a black person. Who is a very hard worker and holds down two full time jobs. But Sams club pays any black person who walk's in the door 3 to 5 more bucks an hour just for being black. Im not making this up. Just ask.

Well, guess I'm moving up the food chain for the first time all year. No more part-time bitch temping, on to full-time work once again. I'm being farmed out to an automotive testing laboratory in Pontiac for 12 an hour. Which should pay for the hour drive each way five days a week and fatten my anorexic bank accounts to above starvation levels. I was told that I'd be somewhere between a temp and an intern, works for me, I HATE working for free unless it's for charity or family. So I'll fatten the funds and make my resume worth more than the toilet paper it's printed upon.

So, my company has laid me off in favor of outsourcing off-shore (yea, that'll work). But, before I leave they've asked me to spend 8 f'ng hours in a freezing data center working on the switch beause, you know, it's going to be hard for the techs off-shore to do the activity. And, as usual there's no comp time for the time worked on a week-end night. I have to seriously question my career choice. Maybe Mom was right, I should've gotten an union job.

Put more effort into simplifying your life and less into complicating it.

Reject the adage that everything worth doing is worth doing well - striving for excellence where excellence doesn't matter is the stuff that misfits are made of.

Concentrate on the things that really matter and be oblivious to practically everything else.

If you work more than 8 hours a day, you are in the wrong job - either that or you're doing it wrong.

The belief in the morality of hard work signifies a hard head.

Forget about security and focus on opportunity.

Well... It's been a while since I felt the need to post. Too long I guess.

If anyone reads my previous posts, I've been gone from that positoin for about 6 months. I got a position in a manufacturers "marketing department" and am something of the de facto "Director of Marketing"... big deal.

After less then 6 months here I'm already looking for another job. If I had know what I was in store for I'd have never taken this position, I'd have simply quit my other job, packed my tent, and moved back to the "real world" where shit makes sense.

What's worse is that I "report" to a female. Not that I'm a male chauvinist, misogynistic, or a woman -hater by any stretch, but I do feel that most women who find themselves in positions of power often have a pent up desire to unleash their wrath upon subordinates.

Last year there was a stereotypical "welfare-bum" on my softball team. Everyone looked down on him like he was some kind of sub-human being. I kind of liked the guy, he was honest and he had a heart of gold. I wonder if the reason we hate people on welfare is not the stupid assed "our taxes pay for their laziness" excuse, but maybe we are just jealous that they have the fuckin NERVE to live that lifestyle. The guy was collecting his 500 a month and he would work under the table to make ends meet and then some. Sure he had cable and ate junk food but its not a glamorous life.

Ever had the feeling that a really bad episode from your past working life was going to repeat itself? Well, I just got that nasty feeling during the past week.

first of all let me say i actually like my job as far as the duties that i handle day to day, and i get along reasonably well with my co-workers. i have been with the company for almost 5 years now and while there have been situations that were completely unfair, i was able to just forget about it, moveon. i am a pretty easy going girl. however, i have found out about something that has me so pissed i can barely even stand it. i go to work everyday now with it on my mind.

My Boss is such a loud mouth biatch!. She lies to everyone! She sits at my desk AND does the poor me routine....
Oh poor me. She is being garnished because her husband keeps going to the doctor and the dentist and doesn't pay for his visits,.....
Why doesn't she get divorced you ask???

Went to a friend's place of employment recently to help out (paid of course, no one works for free) and although she had been telling me about this bitch boss who makes mountains out of molehills and then rushes in to "save the day" was absolutley true! There are 2 middle aged crows in the mix here, 1 is the boss and the other is her sidekick-they go everywhere together!
